Position Description


 


The Director of Project Management is responsible in planning, managing, leading & coordinating development of Retail package configurations and related printed materials for high volume consumer product. Work closely with the Business units, Operations and Supply Chain partners, manage the manufacturing launch into Far East and/or Regional Distribution Centers in US and Europe. This is a global position that requires cross-functional management experience; lead a team of 15 experienced project managers to ensure the growth and success of the organization.  


 


Responsibilities


- Responsible to articulate project work scopes and detailed schedules supported by appropriate program management contact and functional organization


- Plan, schedule, prioritize and drive development activities and manufacturing introduction for new and/or enhanced packaging and printed components used in Retail product configurations


- Coordinates and provides weekly, monthly and quarterly project reports to Senior Management


- Train and mentor Project Managers as required for professional growth


- Ensure that the product components meet Branding, Marketing, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing requirements


- Ensure that Logitech Product Life Cycle procedures are followed; assist Program Leader with necessary written plans & reports for project reviews


- Ensure that project schedules are executed, monitoring and tracking the progress, cost and performance against plan


- Lead cost, schedule and experience (performance and quality)


- Contribute to development of Corporate processes related to Project Management


- Develop and maintain KPI metrics for PM group


 


Required Skills:



  • Proficient in leading a worldwide Project Management team 

  • Provide leadership in managing and interacting with worldwide development teams (ie: Engineering, Marketing, Operations)

  • Expert level knowledge of project management concepts and discipline

  • Excellent understanding of MRP/ERP working concepts

  • Works on complex problems and provide direction to the project management team.


Background/Training:



  • Experience as Director of Project management in a similar field, computer industry, consumer electronics

  • Leadership in developing & evolving processes related to project management responsibilities

  • Proficient in use of  Microsoft Project, Project Risk identification, planning and management

  • Excellent communication skills required

  • PMP certification, a plus

  • Ability to communicate in Chinese a plus


Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information
